4.0 player here. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is about this racket that I love, but it just feels good compared to some of the of the other performance paddles that I've used. Highly recommend.
I've used a handful of different paddles now, and there hasn't been one that exceeds my aesthetic preference and holds high performance value like OutWest does.
I chose the Marine Layer, and it's like the Mona Lisa paddle among all the other paddles in the queue.
The grip has held up well, which is great b/c I play weekly and it is sooo humid this summer.
Shocked that I've only seen (1) other person using an OutWest paddle. These east-coasters don't know what they're missing!
